Calibrating Time
In the process of re-defining the operating theatre as a form of specific functionality serving a clear aim and an emotionally charged spatial phenomenon, to a ‘resonant landscape’ that grows beyond conventional expectations, the application of naturally occurring behaviors to this artificial mechanical landscape becomes a point of emphasis. The map is constantly adjusting itself with the slightest changes taking place both in the process being carried out on the human body (the patient) and the alterations in the surrounding atmosphere. This spatial structure is formed in a way that rather than looking at the collection of mechanisms as forming a landscape, the human body itself becomes the landscape of these mechanisms round the axis of which they will revolve
